IT Home, September 8 — Blackmagic Design today released its video editing software DaVinci Resolve 21.1, integrating multiple artificial intelligence assistants.

According to reports, this update adds support for AI assistants such as Claude, Claude Code, and ChatGPT Codex, enabling users to analyze projects, organize media, adjust settings, and perform batch rendering using natural language. Users can prompt the AI assistants to cut highlights from long-form video, remove unwanted clips, or render final videos, reducing repetitive labor and allowing more time for creative ideation.

IT Home noted that DaVinci's Photo page now supports cameras including the Fujifilm GFX and X series, Leica SL, and Sony α7R VI, allowing photographers to directly import photos without format conversion. This update also improves the multicam workflow and introduces brand-new graphics tools, among other features.
