The paper introduces aria, a dependency-free native runtime that executes the complete Stable Audio 3 text-to-music pipeline without Python or a deep-learning framework. It targets ordinary GPUs, CPU-only systems, and Raspberry Pi 5 hardware. The authors report that 8-bit precision causes no measurable loss across prompt adherence, overall audio quality, and taste preservation, while 4-bit precision adds a small bounded cost and reduces the footprint enough to run the 1.2-billion-parameter model on an 8 GB Pi. The runtime also exposes activation steering and is released as open source.
