Evolving Spec-Driven Development: Conductor Now Supports Antigravity

First seen · 8/6/2026, 08:01 AMLatest activity · 8/6/2026, 08:01 AM

Google says Conductor has evolved from a Gemini CLI extension into a portable plugin that can bring conversational Spec-Driven Development to environments including Antigravity CLI and Claude. Instead of requiring developers to follow rigid command sequences, Conductor interprets natural conversation and maintains persistent Markdown artifacts such as spec.md and plan.md in the background. The intended result is a lower-friction workflow in which specifications, implementation plans, architecture decisions, and project state remain inspectable and version-controlled inside the repository, even when developers switch between supported AI coding tools.
