SciForge: An AI-Native, Multimodal Workbench for Scientific Discovery

SciForge is an open-source, research-native multimodal AI workbench designed to keep papers, code, datasets, scientific files, model outputs, figures, manuscripts, and team decisions in a coherent, auditable state. Its architecture includes an Agent Runtime, Workflow Engine, Evidence-DAG audit sidecar, and Scientific Model Router. The paper reports eight end-to-end user cases, including demonstrations involving gene discovery, de novo protein design, molecular optimization, and genome-to-BGC discovery. It currently runs as a desktop application with mobile supervision support; deeper team collaboration is planned for future releases.
