A Sparse and Truncated State Vector Simulator for Peaked Circuits

First seen · 7/10/2026, 12:00 PMLatest activity · 7/10/2026, 12:00 PM

This work presents an open-source classical simulator for peaked quantum circuits, where the main objective is to predict the most probable output bit string. Instead of storing a dense state vector, the implementation keeps a sparse set of nonzero amplitudes and can truncate the representation to retain only a limited fraction of total probability mass. The authors describe extensive vectorization of state-vector operations and optional hardware acceleration, and discuss the resulting performance and limitations. The supplied abstract does not report concrete benchmark values.
