MiHoYo’s legal department said two Bilibili users were convicted of copyright infringement after publishing unauthorized videos showing unreleased content from Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero. One defendant received a sentence of one year and two months, suspended, while the other received one year, also suspended. The reported video views exceeded 600,000 and 300,000 respectively. MiHoYo described the case as the first criminal game-leak case applying the Supreme People’s Court and Supreme People’s Procuratorate’s new judicial interpretation.
