Spatula is a proof-of-concept system for motion-graphics creation that analyzes animation context and generates on-demand, in-situ interfaces for controlling relevant attributes. The paper frames attribute control as an explorable landscape across four dimensions: discoverability, resolution, scope, and expandability. A user study with 12 participants reports intuitive and convenient interactions for fine-grained parameter control. Additional applications suggest that the plug-and-play approach may extend to web design and 3D modeling, although the evidence remains early-stage.
