Google is expanding Ask Maps from conversational search toward task completion. In the United States, users can ask it to find food matching dietary and location constraints, add selected dishes to a restaurant cart, and search for hotels or activities using detailed preferences such as design style and walkability. Ask Maps can also help users submit updated place information after confirming details extracted from uploaded photos. Google is adding real-time public-transit status and expanding availability to Australia, Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, and Mexico. Gemini-powered Personal Intelligence initially connects to Gmail and is off by default.
