This paper studies network contention in on-device agent-augmented real-time communication, where live video traffic competes with agent context uploads. It proposes HFS, an app-guided multi-flow transport framework with a unified application-layer orchestrator that jointly controls video and agent traffic according to their different requirements. A prototype built on WebRTC and llama.cpp reportedly achieved 1.5x higher video quality and 31% lower agent response time than baselines.
