Industry Leaders Unite in the Open Secure AI Alliance for AI Safety and Security

NVIDIA announced the Open Secure AI Alliance, building on the Linux Foundation’s Akrites initiative and OpenSSF community work. The alliance aims to use open technologies to identify, remediate, and disclose vulnerabilities. Its founding position is that open models, harnesses, and tools are especially important for cybersecurity because defenders can inspect, adapt, and deploy them while retaining greater control over sensitive data and local operating requirements. The initiative is presented as complementary to closed frontier models rather than a replacement for them.
