string2string Studio is an open-source, browser-based platform for string analysis in NLP, computational biology, and digital humanities. It combines six modules covering alignment, distance, similarity, search, generation metrics, and BLAST homology search across character, word, token, line, and residue levels. C++ algorithms are compiled to WebAssembly and run locally by default. The authors report speedups of up to 2,500x over the earlier Python implementation, exact agreement with independent references under specified settings, and close matching with NCBI BLAST+ for a scoped client-side blastn workflow.
