AI Literacy and Sustainable Development: An Ethical Governance and SDG Framework

Technical familiarity with artificial intelligence has outpaced public readiness for its ethical governance. Drawing on a survey of 300 professionals across various sectors, this study highlights a pronounced gap between tool adoption and institutional accountability. The authors introduce a six-level taxonomy of reasoning and ethics designed to align foundational literacy with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals, arguing that responsible deployment relies less on feature awareness than on deliberate ethical judgment.
