NVIDIA announced its participation in the U.S. National Science Foundation’s State and Regional Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Hubs program. The initiative will connect state and multistate consortia of colleges and universities with shared computing, data, software, educational resources, and technical expertise. Private companies, philanthropic organizations, and state and local governments are also expected to participate. The program aims to bring AI infrastructure closer to institutions and communities, support AI-enabled research and education, accelerate scientific discovery, and prepare students for the AI economy. The announcement links the effort to the goals of the Genesis Mission.
