CoPlan: A Trustworthy Co-Intelligence Interface for Care Planning through Role-Based Contestable Argument Graphs

First seen · 8/6/2026, 01:43 AMLatest activity · 8/6/2026, 01:43 AM

CoPlan is a human-AI interface for collaborative care planning involving clinicians, patients, caregivers, and care teams. Its multi-agent workflow generates candidate interventions together with supporting and challenging arguments. Human care planners can accept, reject, modify, or add arguments before the final plan is produced. Demonstrated in an aging-in-place scenario, the system includes adaptive care-team recruitment, role-based argument review, care-plan generation, and scheduling agents for follow-up. The paper frames contestability as a way to preserve human agency and clinical accountability while combining complementary human and AI expertise.
