Build Zero-Trust AI Agents with Google's Agent Development Kit

First seen · 9/8/2026, 08:06 AMLatest activity · 9/8/2026, 08:06 AM

Allowing AI agents to mutate production state exposes critical vulnerabilities when reliance is placed solely on prompt-level boundaries. In guidelines for the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK), security shifts down to the infrastructure layer: dynamic code runs inside gVisor kernel-level sandboxes, database writes require hardware-backed cryptographic signatures, and semantic gateways inspect I/O deterministically. By replacing prompt guardrails with operating-system and cryptographic guarantees, multi-tool agents gain strict operational constraints before executing real-world side effects.
