DeepSeek Takes a RMB 141 Million Strategic Placement in Unitree's IPO

ITHome reported on August 7 that Unitree Robotics announced on the evening of August 6 that its initial public offering of shares and listing on the STAR Market had been priced at RMB 150.80 per share. The offering comprises 40.446434 million shares, accounting for 10% of the company’s total share capital after the issuance. According to the final strategic placement results provided in the offering announcement, Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Basic Technology Research Co., Ltd., the developer of DeepSeek, appeared on the list of strategic placement investors. It was allocated 933,390 shares, worth approximately RMB 141 million. Unitree Robotics stated in the announcement that, when selecting large enterprises or their subsidiaries as strategic placement investors, it focused on the synergies between them and the issuer’s business development. The introduction of leading companies in the large language model sector could support research, development, and product development related to AI large models and embodied intelligence, with the aim of integrating the technological strengths of both parties, enhancing embodied intelligent robots’ ability to understand and generalize across complex scenarios, and jointly advancing the technological development of artificial general intelligence. ITHome noted that Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Basic Technology Research Co., Ltd. has committed to a 36-month lock-up period for the shares allocated in this placement, beginning on the date of the issuer’s initial public offering and listing.
