IT Home, September 10 — SAIC MG announced that firm orders for the MG 07 exceeded 42,000 units within 20 days of its launch, with a limited-time subsidized starting price of 105,900 yuan. The vehicle was launched on August 21 at the Chengdu Auto Show, breaking the 10,000 firm-order mark in just 1 minute and 57 seconds, far surpassing last year's record set by the MG4 (39 minutes and 37 seconds). It features a 168-liter KK auto-opening front trunk, a 697-liter electric rear trunk, and 109 liters of recessed underfloor storage. It also supports ventilation, heating, and massage across all seats, features a full-piece dimming panoramic sunroof, and introduces an industry-first "Queen's Multi-Functional Vanity Table." The vehicle is equipped with a zero-gravity front passenger seat and a built-in 7.1.4-channel, 21-speaker audio system. Its infotainment system is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip and comes with a 15.6-inch 2.5K central display, supporting features such as the 3D Moli real-time interactive world and full-scenario smartphone-to-vehicle connectivity. The SAIC MG 07 also marks the debut of the Momenta R7 World Model paired with the Xheart X7 dedicated AI foundation model chip. It is equipped with an mCDC intelligent electromagnetic suspension capable of adjusting up to 200 times per second, along with an AI road preview function that can scan ahead at distances of 15 to 150 meters. In terms of powertrain, the pure electric variant is built on an 800V high-voltage platform, boasting a maximum EV range of up to 845 km, a 0–100 km/h acceleration time in the 5-second range, and support for 5C ultra-fast charging. The hybrid version shares the same design and color palette as the pure electric model, offering exterior color options including Morello Purple, Milia Pink, Salt Lake White, Oxford Blue, Notting Grey, and California Blue. It is powered by a DMH full-domain super hybrid motor delivering 207 horsepower, a 1.5L high-efficiency dedicated hybrid engine, and a CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. It delivers a CLTC pure electric range of 245 km and a combined range of 1,745 km. The electric motor delivers a maximum power output of 152 kW and peak torque of 302 N·m, while the engine produces a maximum power of 82 kW and peak torque of 135 N·m.
