New Deepal S05 Launches with LiDAR and LLM-Powered Voice Interaction from RMB 115,900

IT Home, August 6: At today’s launch event, the all-new Deepal S05 officially went on sale. Five variants are available, priced from 119,900 to 151,900 yuan, with limited-time promotional prices ranging from 115,900 to 144,900 yuan.

The all-new Deepal S05 adopts the upgraded “Interstellar Wings 2.0” design language, with a drag coefficient as low as 0.25 Cd. The internal structure of the headlamp clusters has been changed to a Y-shaped design, while the lower front light clusters and exterior mirrors integrate the “Smart Driving Little Blue Light.” The vehicle features semi-hidden door handles, frameless doors, an intelligent power tailgate, and 18-inch Xingxuan sport wheels. A LiDAR sensor has been added to the roof, with the high-end variant equipped with a Hesai 128-line LiDAR.

The interior adopts a floating starship design concept and is available in three color schemes: Nebula Purple, Heatwave Orange, and Star Rock Gray. The cabin features 256-color floating wraparound ambient lighting and premium wood-grain decorative panels.

The new vehicle eliminates the conventional LCD instrument cluster, with driving information projected via a head-up display. The infotainment system has been upgraded to DEEPAL OS 4.2, optimizing the 3D live desktop and split-screen multitasking modes. Voice interaction integrates large-model capabilities and supports continuous dialogue, generalized expressions, four-zone voice recognition, and wake-word-free operation for the driver. Functions such as phone-vehicle connectivity and whole-cabin scenario modes have also been enhanced. The vehicle is also equipped with a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, wireless phone charging, dual front cupholders, and an electronic column-mounted gear selector.

In terms of intelligent driving, the new vehicle is equipped with the Tianshu Navigation intelligent driving assistance system. The Zhizhen LiDAR Edition features one LiDAR sensor and 26 high-sensing sensors to form an all-domain perception foundation. Combined with a one-stage end-to-end algorithm, this shortens the decision-making chain and makes the vehicle’s driving actions more coherent.

In terms of powertrains, the new vehicle retains the options offered by the current models, with both pure-electric and range-extended versions available. The pure-electric version is equipped with a rear-mounted single motor producing a maximum output of 272 horsepower. It offers two battery capacities, 56.12 kWh and 68.82 kWh, corresponding to CLTC ranges of 520 km and 620 km, respectively.

The range-extended version combines a 1.5-liter engine producing 98 horsepower with a 238-horsepower drive motor. It is equipped with a 28.39 kWh battery, providing a pure-electric range of 215 km and a combined range of 1,310 km. For the chassis, the new vehicle uses an independent suspension setup with MacPherson struts at the front and a five-link arrangement at the rear.
